The Divergent IMDb has two new additions to its ‘Cast’ list. Under Shailene Woodley, Jessica Sula has been added as Christina (rumored) and David Bastian as the Dauntless leader Max! However, we have not yet received the final word from Summit so let’s keep in mind that this is still a rumor. Here is a screenshot of the IMDb page with these two new additions:
How exciting! What do you think of these two actors? Jessica’s look deffinitely fits the role of Christina and many people have put her in their dream cast so let’s hope for the best!
I DO NOT WANT HER AS CHRISTINA. Who know’s if she even has a convincing American accent? And honestly, she’s not even black she’s mixed and in the book it says Christina’s skin is as dark as brown eyes. Sorry nothing against her personally she is just NOT how I pictured Christina and I never really liked her on skins. Mediocre acting, surely not good enough for a big franchise. This makes me worried that they will mess up this entire cast, like they’ll have someone awful playing Four

Uh really though I wiil not see this movie if Jess Sula is cast as Christina. I refuse! Terrilble actress and I shutter even referring to her as an actress. I pictured Max as being more I suppose tougher looking but maybe with the right wardrobe or makeup or whatever they do he will be a good fit.
Remember guys, it is still just a rumor. IMDb probably has her cast as rumored because many fan tumblrs and pages have added her to their dream cast. Of course if her acting is not satisfactory then I’m sure Summit won’t cast her… we’ll just have to wait and see. We will post when we get the official word.
I checked out David Bastians acting page on Facebook and imdb. He has the look, the picture posted above just looks a little soft.
And maybe Jessica would surprise us? I can think of better girls.

I dig that David Bastians guy for Max! He looks like the type of guy who could come out on top in a fight!
And as for Jessica Sula, she doesn’t really bother me too much as a choice for Christina. Although I do understand those who pictured Christina as African American instead of mixed race being upset but who knows, they still haven’t announced Four so everything is speculation at this point right? Let’s relax.
Just to enlighten everyone: Anyone with an IMDb profile page can add themselves to a movie once it’s still in pre-production. So chances are that these people are not actually cast, so those of you who are upset don’t worry they probably won’t cast atleast one of these people. And big production companies such as Summit love to make grand announcements about who they cast in franchise features and if these people were actaully in the movie Summit would have made a big deal about it. The only reason they have not taken it down is most likely to increase the buzz and attention towards the movie because in a situation like this, to the production companies, it does not matter what people are talking about as long as they are talking about the movie. Let us all just wait and see what happens boys and girls.
